Lesson 1: Basic Anatomy
Anatomy is a life science that looks at the parts of living things and how those parts work. The human body has many parts that each do a job. The brain, heart, and lungs are a few of the parts. Can you match each body part with the part’s name? Collect all your parts and begin.
Doing the science
- Open the Body Paint simulation.
- Select the “Practice Mode” and “Level 1.”
- Select the “Begin” button.
- Select “Top” from the external (left) side of the screen.
- On the drawing, select a part shown in one color. Move the part to its name on the right side of the screen. Note that as you move the part’s color to the name, the name’s color changes to match the part’s color.
- Continue doing this until you have matched all parts with their correct names.
- Select the “Check Answer” button at the bottom of the screen.
- If needed, repeat steps 5–7 until you have matched all parts and names correctly.
